“After long day work and business travel, a drink here is a must. Very cousey and lovely...”
“Lovely place with great beer but they stop serving well before they close. Possibly more understandable for sitting in but they won’t even serve take away for the train (it’s in a train station). Would be more useful to advertise what time they stop serving rather than the time they close.”
“This is a lovely little café/bar to spend time in while waiting for a connecting train. Great atmosphere, really nice coffee, and a much more pleasant place to relax than the main station. The only small bit of feedback I have is about my experience when I first arrived. I was mid-phone call, and the station was (as expected) loud and hectic. I had a quick look around for somewhere quieter to sit and order a coffee, and came across this spot, which was perfect. I found a seat, got settled, and was still mid-call when a staff member approached me—about two minutes in—to ask if I intended to buy anything. I completely understand why they asked: without that, the space could quickly end up being treated more like a waiting area than a café. I’m sure they’ve had people take advantage of the location, and they need to protect the business, so I do think the question is totally valid and fair. That said, I was still on the phone and hadn’t been there long, so it did catch me off guard a little. I had to interrupt my call to explain that I was planning to order as soon as I finished up the conversation and looked at the menu. This is honestly just a tiny reflection, and it doesn’t take away from the lovely atmosphere, the great service, and the quality of the coffee. I’d definitely recommend it and would happily come back. Maybe a small grace period (even 10 minutes) for those arriving mid-call could help avoid these slightly awkward moments, especially when people are genuinely planning to order. I hope this feedback is received in the spirit it’s given – with full appreciation of the lovely space and the challenges that come with running a busy café in a station environment. It’s a great little spot – definitely check it out!”
“What a gem, in side Stoke railway station . Great coffee and friendly staff. Waiting for a train. Becomes a pleasure at bod stoke. Coffee was great nice and tasty just great. I really like the sitting decoration. Just brilliant. At bod.”
“Great place to have at a railway station - especially one where you’ll get people changing trains. Great bear selection from titanic and other craft breweries both to drink in and take on o your journey. Minimal food and snacks - but that’s fine. Compared to what you might normally find on a platform at a station it’s a marvel.”
